Welcome to my updated Our Brian blog site.  Hopefully some of the improvements will make viewing the site more enjoyable for you, they certainly will make administration of the site easier for me.  If you spot anything that is not working then please let me know.

With the new format I will have much greater flexibility to add new features to the site and once I do I will let you know.  Also at the moment I am slowly translating all my old posts of travels and events to the new format so will gradually add these as a I make progress on that.

2013 has found me off for another around the World Trip from May to October visiting Zambia, Botswana, Namibia, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Chile, Bolivia, Peru, Argentina, and Uruguay.  I've been posting photos and comments up on Facebook for these have seen some of the stuff being posted on here before.  But unfortunately I was doing this travelling whilst doing the development of the revamped Our Brian site - travelling came first!  It is now the last weekend of my travels and also the point at which the new Our Brian site is ready to be viewed.  So over the next month or so I will be posting up entries and photos for my travels from May onward.  I will try and do this in the same chronological order so you can follow the adventure - Just with a 5 month delay.

Hope you enjoy!

Victoria Falls - May 2013

Arriving in Livingstone, my first stop on my 5 months around the world tour, I had an early re-acquaintance with the TIA (This Is Africa) effect!  After a long journey overnight from UK via Johannesburg my arrival should have been greeted by a smiling transfer driver to take me to my accommodation at the Waterfront Lodge.  Of course none was there but it took only  a few phone calls for the lodge to arrange for me to be picked up by some other random driver who just happened to be at the airport!
